About

For survivors, the most directly relevant offering is its Hope counselling ministry ([email protected]), which provides confidential one-on-one counselling for individuals, couples, and families through qualified counsellors registered and accredited with the Council for Pastoral and Spiritual Counsellors (CPSC), who undergo continuous professional development. Counselling areas include relationships, marriage, parenting, divorce, addictions, grief and bereavement, and trauma. Hatfield makes its services explicitly accessible: for members, counselling is donation-based with no financial obligation; for those who genuinely cannot afford even member fees, the church states plainly that money should never prevent someone from receiving healing — contact the team. Non-members pay set fees (see website). In addition to individual counselling, the church offers Project Exodus — a support group for all forms of addiction recovery, highly relevant to survivors where substance use has developed as a trauma response — and a one-on-one prayer ministry available after Sunday services ([email protected]). The Hatfield Leadership Academy (HLA) offers accredited theological and Christian counselling qualifications (SATS-affiliated) for those seeking to enter the counselling field. Not a crisis service — for acute GBV crisis: GBV Command Centre 0800 428 428 (toll-free, 24/7) / SAPS 10111.
